Tromso, Norway Travel Website (fictional)

Tromso, Norway Travel Website
While this website was built with HTML, it is a fictional travel website and isn't live. This is a SCAD web design project.
Owning my own blog and developing this portfolio, I've gained a great appreciation for web design. That admiration grew wings.
The first website I designed from the “ground-up” was this four-page, interactive travel website for Tromso, Norway. After in-depth research into the “Paris of the North” and other destination websites, I created a home, culture, excursion, and trip planning page for a potential website.
Included in the design were multiple outbound links to Tripadvisor and other informational sites, audio files with Dutch translations, an FAQ accordion menu, and limited responsive design for different browser window widths. I also designed a logo and color palette and sourced imagery for example photography (license-free photos and Pexels).

Every design decision was scrutinized, prioritizing legibility and easy navigation. While a lot of it has been cleaned up, there are minor moments that may require more work. Overall, it's an accomplishment because the entirety of the project was designed in code, not through a website service.
Because I wanted to push my limits with programming, I watched and took notes on courses for HTML and CSS. Whatever I couldn't figure out on my own, I asked my classmates who had achieved the effect I wanted, got help from my professor, or consulted the internet.
